me and my good friend Jill edited our first newsletter for the Oakland County Dental Hygienists’ Association. we also mailed out over 1,000 paper copies of the newsletter. what fun that part was

So, I’m a huge dork and love lunchbox’s and I also try to avoid wasting paper/plastic/etc… so this seemed like the perfect thing for me.
the lid closes tight and the food doesn’t mix or slide around and there’s nothing to throw out, and of course I had to get the pink one!

We went camping in Sterling, MI this past weekend and we went tubing down the Rifle River.
and on the way home we stopped in Pinconning for some cheese. yum!

So VW announced this week that they are building a new plant in Chattanooga, TN and it’s supposed to open in 2011. Michigan was passed up as one of the sites. This is unfortunate because they will most likely eliminate their headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI where Ryan works. There has not been any discussion of the headquarters moving yet, but he thinks it’s coming.

Ryan and I went to Detroit this past saturday to see the Raconteurs play at the Fillmore. we had planned on getting there early and getting a good spot in the front, but since my accident that was pretty much out of the question because i would be getting stepped on and bumped into constantly.
I was able to talk to the Fillmore manager and found out what to do for ’special seating’ during the show. they let me have a chair in a roped off handicapped section. i was able to stand for most of their set and put most of my weight on my ‘good’ leg.
The concert was great, i just wish that i was able to be closer and jump around a bit more maybe next time.

I went to the orthopedic surgeon today and he said I don’t need surgery. yay!
I need to wear the air cast aka boot for a while until I can walk without pain and the swelling could take months to fully go away. I have to put ice on it for a few days then heat. I can walk on it but mostly on my heal then I can try tennis shoes.
so I lucked out, no major problems.
